Ashleigh Hoera

AISTD; LNZAMD; SPDNZAMD, TCNZAMD

I began dancing at the age of three with the Macdonald School of Dance. It soon became very clear dancing was my passion so I picked up several dance forms including Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop, Tap and Contemporary. By the age of 15 I began my teaching journey as an assistant teacher. I went on to gain four solo diploma certificates through the NZAMD syllabus and was nominated for the national competitions. In 2011 I auditioned successfully for “The Space Dance & Arts Centre” in Melbourne where I pursued my dance training and was soon a teaching staff member.

On my return to New Zealand I continued teaching at The Macdonald School of Dance and at the beginning of 2015 I embarked on my biggest journey yet and opened Evolve Performing Arts Centre.

Since then I have been blessed with amazing support from our Evolve community and have created a space where children come to let their passion fly. With 15 years of teaching experience I have now sat my teachers examination and gained my teaching certificate with the NZAMD. I am so grateful to go to work and do what I love everyday while being surrounded by our incredible Evolve community.
